SMS Terms of Service

Heritage College utilizes SMS to contact active inquiries to our institution in compliance with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). As part of our commitment to Heritage College’s commitment to public service and excellence, we also commit to ensuring our communications with potential students and prospects are exemplary. To that end, we have developed the following SMS Terms of Service.

1. Program Name: Heritage College SMS campaign
2. The purpose of the Heritage College SMS campaign to reach inquiries and prospective students through the most-used form of communication by millennial and Gen-Z inquirers: SMS. To that end, we send out SMS messages to engage with enquirers, answer questions, and book meetings and information sessions with them.
3. You can cancel the SMS service at any time by texting “STOP”. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

5. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
6. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. You will receive messages of varying frequency, depending on your level of engagement with the Heritage College admissions teams, ranging from a dozen a week for highly-engaged individuals, down to one a quarter for low-engagement, for the duration of the CASL compliance period (two years). If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
